TGIF | Cake

It's friday!

This week actually started off with friday for me.

Sunday night I set my alarm clock for about 9,

and went to sleep.

Next morning I woke up late, 

and couldn't understand why my alarm hadn't gone off.

Turns out I set my alarm for friday instead of monday.

I have no clue why I thought friday is the day after sunday,

but oh well.

This week's just been a week of fridays anyway.

Hanging out with friends,

shopping a wee bit,

and lovely things like that.

And eating cake.

Oh, cake!

Everytime it's friday I have a mini-celebration,

because the weekend is here.

It could consist of a brief happy dance

or an outburst of song.

Sometimes, when I'm in a particularly celebratory mood

I buy cake.

AND I EAT IT!

And that's exactly how I'm going to celebrate friday today.

Wondering why today's post is called Thank God it's Friday, 

even though it's saturday today?

Here's why:

Yesterday one of my bestest friends came over,

and we spent the afternoon baking and decorating cupcakes.

I was planning on doing a cupcake post when we had finished the cupcakes yesterday,

but instead we ended up hanging out the rest of the day.

Talking about nothing really,

singing along to Frank Sinatra,

eating dinner,

watching tv,

and then we headed out for a friday night beer.

And, obviously, that left no room for a blogpost,

because hanging out with her was way more important.

But be still, o troubled heart,

the blogpost is here! 

Enjoy our cupcakes. 

We most certainly did.

And we made so many that we're about to enjoy them again.

TGIF | Struggling

This week has been a struggle. 

When I think about it, it's actually been a good week,

but every single day has been a struggle of some sort.

Every morning it's felt like monday morning.

And that is not a nice feeling!

Struggling is never fun.

I think maybe it's because I haven't really had anything to do.

Things are looking up though.

This weekend is going to be a blast, despite the rainy weather.

And the week ahead will be good. 

I don't really have any plans, but I have lots of loose ends

that are waiting to be tied together.

And they're fun things. 

Today is actually pretty busy too. Not that you'd know it, 

since I'm still on my couch from having breakfast. 

But when I finish this blogpost I'll get going.

I have to bake and decorate 30-40 cupcakes for tomorrow.

I'm really excited to try a new decorating method!

I'll let you know how it turns out.

I also have to do the dishes. No fun, but it has to be done.

If I don't do the dishes there's no room for baking -

that's how small our kitchen is. 

Also, I should really find time to do some more reading.

And I should start researching for the paintings I have to do.

Oh, and start writing the speech I have to perform for summer camp.

Phew!

Yes, thank God it's friday!

I might just need to start off with a nap.
